How to Export Your Artwork from Canva for Printing
Canva, a popular online graphic design tool, offers a user-friendly platform for designing everything from signage to posters and banners. Canva has exploded with popularity because it allows users to create high quality art regardless of graphics design experience. However, for your designs to truly shine, you need to know how to export them as print-ready files. In this step-by-step guide, we'll walk you through the process of exporting your Canva creations, ensuring they're ready for high-quality sign printing!
First Step
Open/create your art. Before you can export your art you must first create it, whether you are exporting something you have already made, starting from scratch, or using one of the templates available this is the fun and creative part!
Second Step
Click the “Share” button in the top right corner, and click on “Download”. There are a lot of options you can choose from in the share menu from sending a link or sharing it straight to your social media accounts, but to send it over to us you'‘ll need to download the file!
Third Step
Change your file type to “PDF Print”. Each option gives a little description on what it is best used for and the PDF print option is nice enough to remind you that it is the best file type for printing!
Fourth Step (pro users only)
If you have Canva Pro you can change your color profile to CMYK which is the best color profile for digital printing since printed use that ink configuration. However if you don’t have Canva pro exporting it in RGB is fine!
Fifth Step
Once all of your settings are updated you are ready to export your print ready file, simply click download and your file will be saved on your device, that file can then be emailed to us for use in any sign project you may have!
